NEW BPRI PRESS e-JOURNAL!!!

BPRI Press is proud to announce the new Journal of e.Commerce and Psychology (Je.CP), which was officially released in April/May, 2000. JeCP covers a wide variety of e-business topics, including: Internet psychology, computer-based testing, virtual teams and processes, cyber-organizations, multimedia and virtual reality training, distance learning, e-business strategies, Internet-based testing, gravity-free e-consulting, and corporate Intranet and HRIS platforms, to name a few. Some of the articles that have already been accepted for publication include the following:
  • The Internet and Industrial/Organizational Psychology: Practice and Research Perspectives (Harris, M.)
  • A Study of the Effectiveness of Using Virtual Reality to Orient Line Workers in a Manufacturing Environment (Adams, N.)
  • The Effects of Computer Technology on Selection Testing (Neuman, G. et al.)
  • The Nature of Internet Addiction: Psychological Factors in Compulsive Internet Use (Greenfield, D.)
  • Virtual HR: Megatrends and Future Visions (Jones, J.)
The Editorial Board is represented by leading I-O psychologists from "new economy" companies such as Motorola, Microsoft, Dell, Sprint, and National Computer Systems, among others. These psychologists are actively involved in the development of e-business strategies and applications.

The Journal of e.Commerce and Psychology is the first digital journal published by BPRI Press. That is, all journal issues, which include 3-5 articles per issue, will be distributed as PDF files via CD-ROMs and/or e-mail attachments. This digital publication strategy significantly speeds up the collection and dissemination of applied scientific information. An annual volume is comprised of four issues. BPRI Press reserves the right to publish double issues.

Articles typically range in length from 12-24 word processed pages (double-spaced). All submissions must be submitted as Microsoft Word documents. Submit articles as e-mail attachments to Dr. John Jones, Editor-in-Chief, BPRI2000@aol.com.

(Note: By subscribing at this heavily discounted "opt-in" journal price, subscribers are granting BPRI permission to inform them via e-mail about any new BPRI Press publications.)
